The News Year's Eve Enduro Was A Great Way To Ring In The New Year With David Pabst Jr. Shining The Brightest
On New Year's Eve, 2009, a crowd of nearly 700 hardcore racing fans converged on the "Jewel of the West" to watch the Old Year go out with a splash. Enduro drivers from all over Central California did not deny anyone in attendance the simple pleasure of their fender-bending delight as they splashed and crashed through 299 Laps of wet and wild excitement. NASCAR Announces Top Rookies
The inaugural year for the NASCAR Rookie of the Year Award presented by Jostens saw rookies collect 53 feature wins. Leading the 2009 rookie class to the Nov. 13 ceremonies at the Concord (N.C.) Convention Center is Jacob Gomes, the series’ 2009 national rookie award winner. Gomes, 16, of Manteca, Calif., collected three wins, 20 top 5s and 28 top 10s.
